					<description>Nixon said that China was the enemy of our enemy and thus our friend. So if Steinbeck was Russia's friend.... Actually Steinbeck was friendly with both Presidents Kennedy and Johnson (and even supported the Vietnam war for a long while). Obviously from the other post here, John's son Thom had a different point of view!</description>
