Marilyn,

I stumbled upon your blog through a Google search while looking for parts for my old VW bus. Great story! I think it's funny that people fall into the trap of believing that the Manson "family" were like a pack of vampires traveling around trying to brutally murder EVERYONE they ever came in contact with. I won't pretend to know the "facts" but I think that whoever WAS in the bus just appreciated your kindness to strangers. We've become a society of people who are fearful of everyone and anyone we don't know. I REFUSE to think that way. Not a religious person but a line from a favorite movie has always stuck in my head. "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." Here's a link to my BLOG about my bus and other stupid stuff. http://loveandducttape.blogspot.com/

Regards,
Michael

PS - I AB-SO-LUTELY ADORED YOU when you were on The Mommies TV Show. You're still a HOTTIE!

The time frame doesn't match up! Manson and his "family" of criminals were all arrested in 1969. Carole King's "Tapestry" album didn't come out until 1971.
Well, everyone exaggerates about their past, right?!!!

What a great twist on "that which doesn't kill you makes you stronger"--or in this case makes a strong story!

Amazing!
